A WIFE who has a 61-year age gap with her husband has revealed her plans to start a family – despite him being older than her grandad.
Mississippi-born Miracle Pogue, 24, met her husband, Charles Pogue, 85, when she was working at a laundrette.

Since then, the pair fell madly in love, and eventually married.
It’s a relationship that has shocked some people, even members of her own family.
But the couple doesn’t care what anyone might say about their relationship – insisting Charles is no “sugar daddy”.
They have set their heart on having a family and have started researching the options of IVF.

Pensioner Charles has no children, so he will be a first-time dad as he approaches his late eighties.
Miracle says her mom, Tamika Phillips, 45, and her grandad, Joe Brown, 72, have no problems with the huge age gap.
They were delighted to see how happy her elderly husband made her.
Her dad, Kareem Phillips, 47, was less keen on his daughter’s older suitor.
However, after some persuasion, he soon came around to the idea.
The couple’s burgeoning romance started after retired real estate agent Charles insisted Miracle serve him at the launderette.
Never was dirty laundry so auspicious.
Despite the huge age gap and generational divide, the couple hit it off straight away.

They insist age has never been a factor, and she describes Charles as her, “knight in shining armor.”
Charles says their wedding day was, “the best day of my life.”
While the couple has no problem with their age difference, other people certainly do and have been quick to comment on their unusual coupling.
“What people say online doesn’t make a difference, we just let them do their thing,” says Miracle.
“We’re very happy together. We’re looking forward to starting a family together.”

Miracle is painfully aware that she will likely outlive her husband but giving him children would be wonderful and create another generation.
But Miracle has also had to face accusations that Charles was just a ‘sugar daddy’.
“People were saying I’m using Charles, he doesn’t know what’s going on, and saying I should be ashamed,” she says.
But she insists she is financially secure even without Charles.
“I will be well off with or without him, it’s a choice to be with him and it makes me feel good that he chooses me.”
What Charles’ lacks in technological savvy, he more than makes up for with his trusting and loving nature.
“I love his advice,” she says. “I trust he’s not going to leave me in the dark, he’ll make sure I’m ok.
“He’s peaceful, he’s so laidback, he doesn’t want to argue. I love to hear his stories.”
To anyone doubting the love of this age-defying couple, Miracle has this to say: “I know he got me and I got him.”
